How to Apply

We admit students each quarter.  The deadlines for application are:

Step 1

New incoming students applying to CSUSB must first complete an application online at CSU Apply and pay the non-fundable application fee of $55 (if you do not qualify for the fee waiver).  You should also consult the Graduate Admission site.

Towards the end of the application, you are required to attach a 200-250 word statement of purpose in with your application. Please include why you want to get the MPA and what your career goals are. 

Letters of recommendation are not required for our MPA program.

Once you have successfully submitted your application, you will instantly receive a confirmation number--be sure to print and keep that page as your receipt.

Step 2

Mail in your official transcripts and any other additional documents to:

Step 3

Within one week, you should receive a notice by email that your application has been received and will contain a Coyote ID#, activation code, and CSUSB email account.

Step 4

Activate your MyCoyote account and check your application status once you login. MyCoyote will be able to tell you if the Admissions office is missing any documents and the status of your application.

NON - Admission Option

Those who missed the deadline or who want to improve their GPA may take classes on a space available basis through Open University.  See their webpage for more information.
