How to Apply

We admit students each quarter.  The deadlines for application are:

Step 1

Complete an application online at CSU Apply

When you start the application select
Campus- San Bernardino
Location -DO NOT SELECT A LOCATION
Delivery Format - DO NOT SELECT A DELIVERY FORMAT
Start Term - Select the quarter you wish to start your studies

There are four degree selection options:
Public Administration - Cybersecurity
Public Administration - General
Public Administration - Leadership
Public Administration - Public Financial Management

Select one of these- it can always be changed later 
Cybersecurity is the only concentration that may not be completed online.

There is a lot of information requested on the application.  Much of it we do not need.   You still need to go into each area, but you may click on a button at the bottom that states you will not be submitting (eg. transcripts, gpa, evaluations).  

However we do want the following.
Select Supporting Information and then Experiences and include your employment history.
Select Statement of Purpose and include a 200-250 word statement. Include why you want to get the MPA and what your career goals are. 

No letters of recommendation are required.

Once you have successfully submitted your application, and paid the application fee of $55 you will receive a confirmation number--be sure to print and keep that page as your receipt.

Step 2

Arrange to have your official transcripts mailed to:

Step 3

Within one week, you should receive a notice by email that your application has been received and will contain a Coyote ID#, activation code, and CSUSB email account.

Step 4

Activate your MyCoyote account and check your application status once you login. MyCoyote will be able to tell you if the Admissions office is missing any documents and the status of your application.

If your GPA is below a 3.0 you must submit GRE Scores directly to the PA Department (not Graduate Admissions)


NON - Admission Option

Those who missed the deadline or who want to improve their GPA may take classes on a space available basis through Open University.  See their webpage for more information.
