Shawn will be presenting live from New York!
Shawn is a distinguished executive in the entertainment industry, known for his candor and work ethic. He has extensive experience of over 13 years, during which he has climbed the corporate ladder in various Fortune 500 companies. His expertise lies in Strategy, Operations, HR, and Data. Shawn's curiosity to bridge his professional skills with academic pursuits led him to further his education. He has recently completed his Ph.D. in Political Science, where his research delves into the complex interactions of Media, Communication, and Decision-making. Shawn's educational background includes a Bachelor's in Economics, an MBA from CSUSB, and a Master's in Politics. He has recently completed his Ph.D. at The Claremont Graduate University, demonstrating his dedication to contributing positively to society.

Jessica Chavez is the JHBC Student Success Center and Internship Coordinator, as well as adjunct lecturer for the College. Courses taught include University Studies, Public Relations, and currently, Introduction to Administration. She has more than 20 years’ experience at CSUSB, and involvement on campus includes various Advisory Boards, numerous staff hiring committees, college strategic planning committee, Department Chair review committees, and is the College’s Commencement Coordinator. Jessica is a two-time CSUSB alum, holding a Bachelor of Science, Administration, Finance Concentration, as well as a Master of Public Administration.
